Any entitled brat can write a story where everyone good gets everything they want, sacrifice NOTHING, and all the bad guys are disposed of. Any emo brat can write a story where where everyone bad gets everything they want, and all the good guys are disposed of, assuming the world itself isn't destroyed or just screwed over to an endless cycle of suffering. Any pretentious brat can write a story where protagonist wanders from scene to scene, where good intentions backfire, bad intentions have collateral reverse-damage, everything is a lie except what the people who don't tell you anything tell you (don't ask), and all is quietly forgotten. It takes ACTUAL MATURITY for the hero to have ACTUAL flaws, suffer ACTUAL loss that isn't reversed by the end, to overcome the villain who is ruled by their flaws, and our hero forges meaningful bonds with people along the way who had affected his life just as he's affected there's, and have become a band of friends and family who will always
