as a request from me, and I have asked his permission to post it here.
One theme I always like exploring in fiction and real life is how people are impacted with the appearance and implementation of new technology or new ideas and how they cope with it, especially when it proves superior, match or at least capable of competing with old technology, old skills and old ways. This preference is, in part, inspired by Social Science Fiction I read from authors such as Isaac Asimov which explores that kind of thing, partly out of my firm supportive stance on science and technological progress.
In short, I want to see how people react to things that, at least seemingly, makes them obsolete. This piece was requested to convey this theme in the most spectacular way possible: somepony winning a pegasi flying competition with a JET FIGHTER.
I like to thank Solar-Wanderer for doing this piece; I requested something involving a shocked pegasi being out-raced by a jet fighter. Needless to say, Solar-Wanderer delivered with flying colors, and I hope to see more of his work in the future. Check out his gallery!

Now I know this is an older piece, but I love it anyway!
Funnily enough, I am practicing drawing aircraft in a mlp show-accurate style for an idea I had a few years ago that ties into the backstory of one of my characters- in their particular case, the Eurofighter Typhoon, but I will be doing some WW2 and a bunch of American Cold War era stuff as well, such as the Century Series aircraft.
